How do I use the RELIEF+?Updated 19 hours ago
It's easy to get started with the RELIEF+. Follow the directions below to get the most out of your treatments.
1️⃣ Locate the trigger point
Start by feeling along the muscle or area that you’re feeling discomfort or tightness. Find the most tender spot (the “sweet spot”) and place the Relief+ underneath this spot.
2️⃣ Apply gentle pressure
Apply gentle pressure to the trigger point for about 30 sec up to 2 mins (or until you feel a release of the muscle). If you’re new to trigger point release techniques, it’s ok to start with even 5-10 seconds to get used to the pressure on the muscles.
3️⃣ Breathe...
An important part of trigger point release is to take slow, deep breaths to help the body relax into the pressure. It can be helpful to think of “breathing out the tension”. Use rhythmic breathing (four counts in, four counts out) to help calm the nervous system. You should eventually feel the tension release and the muscle relax.
4️⃣ Drink water
After the session, drink plenty of water and do some extra stretching or movement that day to help prevent soreness.
Repeat 3-5 times per week, taking rest days in between each session
