Is trigger point release painful?Updated 12 days ago
When using the RELIEF+ or doing any kind of trigger point or myofascial release work, it’s common to feel pressure or mild soreness—especially if the muscle is tight or knotted. This kind of “good hurt” often means you’re targeting the right spot. However, it shouldn’t be sharp, intense, or unbearable.
Pain is a signal from your body that something isn’t right, and pushing too hard can cause more tension or even irritation.
The goal is to release tension, not to force it out. Think of it like this: effective doesn’t have to mean painful. Gentle, consistent pressure over time often produces better (and safer) results than going in too aggressively.
