About Hand Pain
Hand pain is a common issue that can stem from overuse, repetitive strain, joint degeneration, nerve compression, or injury. It often affects daily tasks like gripping, typing, lifting, or even simple movements like turning a key.
Pain may be felt in the fingers, palm, knuckles, or wrist, and can range from a dull ache to sharp or burning sensations. In some cases, stiffness, swelling, numbness, or tingling may also occur, especially in conditions like arthritis, tendinitis, or carpal tunnel syndrome.
Treatment options for hand pain can vary depending on the cause and symptoms. We recommend speaking to a qualified health professional to help diagnose and treat any specific conditions.
Red light therapy offers a non-invasive, drug-free way to help reduce inflammation, ease pain, and support tissue repair in the hand. By improving local circulation and modulating pain pathways, it can be a valuable addition to your recovery routine—especially when paired with mobility and strengthening exercises.
Primary Treatment
To effectively treat hand pain with the MOVE+, target the area where the pain is most concentrated, while also considering the other structures that support the hand. Here’s how to position the device for common sources of hand pain:
Finger or knuckle pain:
Place a module over the affected joint. You can rest your hand on top or lightly wrap the device around it.
Palm or base of the thumb:
Position the MOVE+ in the palm, especially where the thumb meets the hand. This is helpful for issues like trigger finger or overuse pain.
Top of the hand:
Place the device across the back of the hand to target sore tendons or joints.
Treatment Time
- Each area should be treated for 10–15 minutes per session, up to 2 times daily. For best results, combine red light therapy with gentle mobility and strengthening exercises tailored to your issue. Always listen to your body, and if in doubt, consult a healthcare professional for guidance.
- Consistency is key. Doing a short treatment every day will be more effective than doing longer sessions more sporadically.
Secondary Treatment
Pain often can sometimes steam from issues above or below the affected area. Treating these secondary zones with the MOVE+ can boost results by improving blood flow to the entire region.
Wrist pain affecting the hand:
For hand issues, treating the wrist as a secondary area with the MOVE+ can improve circulation, relieve tension, and support faster healing.
Put the MOVE+ just below the palm, on the underside and top of the wrist - especially helpful for carpal tunnel or general wrist strain.
Treatment Expectations
On average, our customers see an 89% decrease in pain within 2-3 weeks. Some people have noticeable relief of pain, even after just one session!
One big impact on results is how much blood and tissue is around the area of pain and inflammation.
You can expect faster results on larger areas, like hips, knees and back. Smaller areas like hands and ankles, may require 3-4 weeks for noticeable pain reduction.
Treatment Benefits
